Seth Graber

Mortgage Solutions Analyst
With TruHome since 2014

In 2013, I was working for a large custodial bank and feeling as if I did not have many upward career opportunities. I also did not think I was making a positive difference in my community. As I started looking for a different job, I established five requirements for a new job and filtered every opportunity through them. Those requirements were to:

  • Be recognized as a “Best place to work.”
  • Be locally headquartered and have a location very close to my home.
  • Be involved in creating something that made average people’s lives demonstrably better.
  • Be in a stable or growing industry.
  • Offer upward mobility and professional growth.

TruHome was one of the only companies I found that fit my requirements, and I joined the team in May 2014 as a Software Administrator. I have been promoted since to an Analyst and consider this company the best I have ever worked for!

What do you enjoy most about working for TruHome?

From my front door to my desk, it is only 2,000 steps. It is hard to beat that level of convenience.

In one sentence, define the culture at TruHome.

TruHome is full of relaxed, but responsive and helpful co-workers, who are experts in their respective fields. To work with the caliber of employees that TruHome has makes this place a fantastic place to work.

What has been critical to your success?

I think the most helpful thing I did early in my career at TruHome was to identify some possible areas for improved efficiency, and on my own time, I built out some solutions. Not all the ideas I presented were accepted, but some were, and management appreciated that I took the initiative.
